Train Yourself into the Mindset of an Entrepreneur

Are you a clock watcher? Know anyone who is? You know the type… they sit and seem to count the minutes, perhaps even seconds until they get off.

If 5pm is your “quitting time” then there are lots of great positions out there for you, but if you are working towards becoming a self made entrepreneur, there is no set quitting time. It’s a full commitment to drive you towards accomplishing your dream.

Training yourself out of the common pitfall of a recurring “quitting time” is key to training yourself into the mindset of a self made entrepreneur no matter what business you’re in. I quit when the work is done. With one exception.

If I am of absolutely no use because it seems the world is caving in on me (and we all have those days) then I hit the reset button. Which begins with me taking the rest of the day off, eating a pint of ice cream or cookie dough (or both), watching Magic Mike 1 and/or 2, then I go to bed and wake up with my normal routine the next morning. That means when the alarm goes off at 3:30am I am up and getting ready for my workout.

Work to get yourself past the idea of set on and off times and, instead, create structure driven by purpose and defined by focus.

The internal drive that creates my discipline, drive and focus is typically more extreme than most people have ever witnessed in a human being. ;) You don't have to be just like me, but I can help you benefit from key training and mentorship. Awesome article! Purpose to me is key! Have a purpose so strong it wakes you up at 3:30, 4 for me and makes you want to jump out of bed.
